The Biden administration’s efforts to revive the Iran nuclear deal have failed. Even as the Islamic Republic refuses to accept terms acceptable to the West, it has armed proxies in the Middle East and North Africa, some of whom have conducted attacks on American bases and allies. It has supplied Russia with attack drones that are targeting weapons systems in Ukraine the United States and its allies have donated. And Tehran has even pursued plots to kill former American officials on US soil—plots that it refuses to abandon. At the top of Iran’s assassination list is Hudson Distinguished Fellow and the 70th US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. In a conversation with Hudson Senior Fellow Mike Doran, Secretary Pompeo will address the key questions regarding America’s Iran policy: Why hasn’t the Biden administration formulated a Plan B? What would be the key elements of a Plan B? How difficult would implementing it be?
