U.K. Ambassador to the U.S.

**Please be advised: This event will be premiering at 9:00 a.m. EDT, Wednesday, April 29.**

The events of 2020 have so far demonstrated not only the complexity and uncertainty of the world today, but also the requirement for global leaders to respond with unprecedented agility and assuredness. The pandemic comes on the back of an increase in global uncertainty as great power dynamics affect the international system. Now that Britain has left the EU, what is its international role and how should it handle the current and coming challenges?

Join Hudson Institute for a conversation with the new British Ambassador to the U.S. Dame Karen Pierce and Hudson Research Fellow Ben Judah on the way forward for the U.K. at this uncertain time. How should the special relationship with the U.S. evolve to meet the new challenges? What are the shared objectives, and how do these affect the rise of strategic competitors like China? How will COVID-19 shape the international debate both economically and politically?

Ambassador Pierce will offer her thoughts on the U.K.’s role in shaping the response to global challenges.
