U.S. Representative for Ohio’s 10th District

Since 1949, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization has played a vital role consolidating strategic foreign alliances, reinforcing shared interests, and promoting democracy around the world. While it has changed significantly in the twenty-first century, NATO is far from obsolete. With the drawn-out conflict in the Middle East, ever-increasing Russian aggression, and the complicated status of the European Union as it undergoes Brexit, NATO remains a vital tool for supporting democracy and global stability.

Congressman Mike Turner represents Ohio’s 10th district and is the president of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the inter-parliamentary organization of legislators from NATO countries. On November 30, upon returning from the NATO Parliamentary Assembly annual session in Istanbul, Congressman Turner joined Hudson Institute Senior Fellow Craig Kennedy for an in-depth conversation on the future of NATO, U.S. regional interests, and relations with Russia, the EU, and others.
