Please be advised: This event will premiere LIVE on this page at 4:00 p.m. EDT, Monday, March 22.

Join Hudson Institute’s Asia-Pacific Security Chair and Senior Fellow Dr. Patrick M. Cronin and expert panelists Dr. Jeffrey Wilson, Dr. Jill Slay, John Costello, and Helen You for a discussion on supply chain security, vulnerabilities related to China, and the implications for the U.S.-Australia alliance.

This panel of leading experts will examine the vulnerabilities in critical U.S. and Australian supply chains such as those of semiconductors and rare earth minerals. The panel will explore previous efforts to protect supply chains with tools like vetting boards and export controls and discuss the steps that Canberra and Washington should take to better secure their supply chains.

This event is the second of a three-part series. Part one explored the defense and national security risks created by China’s rise as an information superpower. The next and final panel will discuss the risks posed toward the U.S.-Australia alliance by China’s model of techno-authoritarianism, foreign influence operations, disinformation, and political interference campaigns. Please join our distinguished panel for this timely discussion.
