With the recent release of leaked documents demonstrating the extent of Iran's malign influence in Iraq and the killing of Iraqi protesters by Iranian proxies, Iraq is still a hub of violent political unrest. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also announced that the United States would use "our legal authorities to sanction corrupt individuals stealing Iraqi's wealth and those killing and wounding peaceful protesters." Hudson Institute will host a panel of experts to discuss how Iran is working to further destabilize Iraq and the development in U.S. foreign policy towards Iraq's government.
