Michael Ebstein is a doctoral student at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He has completed his first and second degrees in Arabic language and literature as well as Islam and Middle Eastern studies. He is currently writing his doctoral thesis on Medieval Ismaili thought and Sunnite Andalusian mysticism.
