The US military faces an adversary in China with the geographic, technological, and industrial strength to meet and potentially exceed the capability and capacity of US and allied forces in an Indo-Pacific conflict. Creativity and operational innovation will therefore be essential for US forces to gain an edge and deter or defeat Chinese aggression. To unlock the untapped potential of commanders and operators, the US Air Force is pursuing a new set of tools and techniques for command and control as part of its Advanced Battle Management System, or ABMS. Part of the Pentagon’s overall effort at Joint Domain Command and Control, ABMS is building the structures, processes, and systems that will empower leaders in the field and integrate forces around essential missions.

Please join Hudson Institute Senior Fellows Bryan Clark and Dan Patt for a discussion with Air Force Brigadier General Jeffrey Valenzia about ABMS and the future of Air Force command and control.
