Join Hudson Institute’s Ravenel B. Curry III Distinguished Fellow Walter Russell Mead and France’s Ambassador to the United States, Philippe Étienne, for a conversation on Russia’s war on Ukraine and its implications for France’s foreign policy and Franco-American relations.

Ambassador Étienne assumed his current post in September of 2019. He has served in numerous positions within the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, including as Ambassador to Germany, Diplomatic Advisor to the President, Director of the Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Permanent Representative of France to the European Union, and Ambassador to Romania.

Professor Mead and Ambassador Étienne will cover issues including the war on Ukraine and its implications for European security, global supply chain issues, and the direction of the European Union. Please join us for this timely discussion.
