Join Hudson Institute Center for Defense Concepts and Technology Director Bryan Clark and Adjunct Fellow Dan Patt for a conversation with Former Acting Army Secretary John E. Whitley on the challenges and opportunities facing America’s ground forces as the Biden administration releases its first defense budget.

The United States Army is undertaking its most significant modernization since the Cold War, including new long-range strike weapons, unmanned vehicles, communication networks, air defenses, rotary-wing aircraft, and electromagnetic spectrum systems. At the same time, the Army is maturing new operational concepts for all-domain operations through an aggressive series of demonstrations known as Project Convergence. The pace and prioritization of these efforts will depend on decisions in the upcoming Fiscal Year 2022 defense budget, which may seek to reduce Army end strength to support improvements in the Navy or Air Force. Please join Hudson Institute for this important discussion.
