Please be advised: This event will premiere LIVE on this page at 2:00 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, March 24.

Join Hudson Institute Senior Fellow Bryan Clark, Adjunct Fellow Dan Patt, and panelists LTG Dennis A. Crall, the Hon. Robert O. Work, and Dr. Tim Grayson for a discussion on emerging U.S. military warfighting concepts and the future of joint command and control.

The U.S. Department of Defense is developing a new Joint Warfighting Concept to address the growing sophistication and capacity of great power adversaries such as China and Russia and regional opponents like Iran and North Korea. Operations using the new warfighting approach will be managed by Joint All-Domain Command and Control, or JADC2, which will define a new strategy for U.S. military decision-making.

Although specifics of the Joint Warfighting Concept and JADC2 are classified, U.S. forces clearly need new ways of fighting to gain an advantage in confrontations against enemies that can exploit technology proliferation, information operations, and “home team” advantages to gain territory and influence without resorting to the large-scale military conflicts for which U.S. forces are best prepared. The U.S. military will need to adapt its processes and capabilities for command and control as decision-making and information superiority become more important. Please join our expert panel for a discussion on these developments and their implications for the future.
