Please be advised: This event will premiere LIVE on this page at 12:00 p.m. EST, Friday, March 5.

Join Hudson Institute’s Center for Defense Concepts and Technologies Adjunct Fellow Dr. Dan Patt and experts Elaine McCusker, Lt. Gen. S. Clinton Hinote, Michael Brown, and Bill Greenwalt for a discussion on the influence of resource allocation over Sino-U.S. competition.

Competition between the United States and China is in multiple spheres—particularly in the military space—quickly becoming one of the foremost challenges facing America today. Agility is crucial to succeeding in long-term competition, yet rigid budgetary practices by the Department of Defense make this difficult. Evidence suggests that China’s resource allocation process may, in some areas, be more adaptable than that of the U.S. government, which in many ways has not changed since the 1960s. Is it time to rethink our approach? Join our expert panel for this timely discussion.
