U.S. Senator John Cornyn of Texas will deliver remarks on combatting transnational crime, corruption, and narcotics trafficking in the Americas at Hudson Institute. Following his remarks, he will discuss this topic further with John Walters, Hudson’s chief operating officer and former director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. Sen. Cornyn will discuss his New Americas Recommitment to Counternarcotics Operations and Strategy (NARCOS) Initiative, which seeks to restore law and order throughout Mexico and Central America and build a secure and prosperous region.

Sen. Cornyn serves on the Senate Finance, Intelligence, and Judiciary Committees. This Congress he was selected to co-chair the Senate Caucus on International Narcotics Control, which focuses on expanding international cooperation against drug abuse and narcotics trafficking.
