This event will premiere on this page at 10:00 a.m. EDT, Wednesday, August 3.

Nearly three years after COVID-19’s emergence the world still lacks basic answers on the pandemic’s origins; why the Chinese covered up its rapidly emerging spread; why the National Institutes of Health (NIH) sought to change key scientists’ opinions about a lab leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology; and why there is a lack accountability, transparency, and responsibility among scientists and public health officials in the United States and around the world.

Former lead COVID-19 investigator at the Department of State and Hudson Senior Fellow David Asher will interview US Senator Roger Marshall, who is also a medical doctor. Sen. Marshall has prioritized investigating the COVID-19 pandemic’s origins and the implications of future so-called gain-of-function virological research to avoid these types of leaks from reoccurring.
