February 15, 2022, would have been the 100th birthday of Hudson Institute founder Herman Kahn, who passed away in 1983. Kahn built a unique, interdisciplinary think tank designed to be bold and unconventional, which left a profound impact on a range of policy areas from American national security to nuclear strategy, future studies, and development economics. To mark Kahn’s centenary, William Schneider, who first joined the Institute in 1968 and worked closely with Herman Kahn, will offer his reflections on his life and legacy in conversation with Ken Weinstein, Hudson distinguished fellow and co-editor of “The Essential Herman Kahn: In Defense of Thinking.”
