WASHINGTON — Hudson Institute announces the addition of three new members to its public affairs team: Alex Rosenwald as director of media relations; Mark Melton as managing editor; and Morgan DeWitt as manager of public programming and special projects. Rosenwald will lead media engagement and help formulate and execute Hudson’s communications strategy; Melton will oversee Hudson’s reports, website, and newsletters; and DeWitt will lead Hudson events and public programming. They join a public affairs team led by Vice President of Public Affairs Ann Marie Hauser.
“Alex, Mark, and Morgan each bring much-needed experience and a fresh perspective to communicate Hudson’s mission to promote American leadership for a free, secure, and prosperous future,” Hauser said. “They are terrific additions to our talented team.”
Alex Rosenwald joins Hudson from Ricochet, a podcast network and membership community, where he was the vice president of marketing and community. He previously worked as the public relations manager and senior director of strategic communications and publicity for MediaDC, the parent company for the Washington Examiner and The Weekly Standard. Rosenwald received a B.S. in conflict analysis and resolution, focusing on Middle East history and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, from George Mason University.
Mark Melton joins Hudson from Providence magazine, where he was the managing editor. As part of that position, he hosted the journal’s podcast and wrote regularly on foreign policy. He previously worked as a political science adjunct professor at Hinds Community College in Pearl, Miss., and East Central Community College in Decatur, Miss., and taught English at Lycée Jean Giraudoux in Châteauroux, France. Melton received a B.A. in foreign language and international trade from Mississippi College and an M.Litt. in international relations from the University of St. Andrews.
Morgan DeWitt joins Hudson from the Republican National Committee, where she was associate communications director in the State Party Strategies department. She previously worked as an associate at Ballard Partners, served as deputy White House liaison at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and as an advance associate for former Vice President Mike Pence. DeWitt received a B.A. in English from the Ohio State University.
